Terms of Service

Welcome to Solcore Labs. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services, websites, applications and other offerings provided by Solcore Labs at https://solcorelabs.com (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Scope of the Service

Solcore Labs provides AI-powered image enhancement (image upscaling) that runs on the user’s device via WebGPU. We may add additional AI services in the future. At present, the Service processes images locally in the user's browser — we do not upload or store user images on our servers.

3. Account Registration

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information (name, email).
• Be responsible for activity on your account.
• Keep your password secure.

You may not create accounts on behalf of others without permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

We offer Free and Paid subscription plans. Payments are handled exclusively by Paddle (a third-party payment processor). By subscribing you agree to the payment terms set by Paddle and authorize Paddle to charge your chosen payment method.

5. Billing, Cancellation & Access

• Subscriptions are billed in advance and recur automatically unless canceled.
• You may cancel at any time from your account settings or via the Paddle billing portal.
• After cancellation you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.

6. Refunds

Our Refund Policy is a separate document and forms part of these Terms. By subscribing you acknowledge and accept the Refund Policy in effect at the time of your purchase.

7. No Image Uploads / Privacy-sensitive Design

The Service is built so that image processing occurs on the user’s device via WebGPU. We do not collect, store, or otherwise access the images users process using the Service. Uploaded images are processed locally and do not leave the user’s device unless the user explicitly chooses to export or share them using built-in browser features.

8. Acceptable Use

• For illegal activities or to violate any applicable laws;
• To infringe others’ rights (intellectual property, privacy, etc.);
• To distribute malware or engage in harmful behavior.

We may suspend or terminate accounts suspected of misuse.

9. Intellectual Property

• We own and retain all rights to the Service, the website, code, designs, trademarks, and content we create (except user content and third-party materials).
• You retain ownership of the images you upload and any outputs generated from those images. You grant Solcore Labs a non-exclusive, necessary license to the extent required to provide the Service (for example, temporary processing metadata), but we do not claim ownership of your images or outputs.

10. Third-Party Services

We integrate third-party services such as Supabase (for authentication and account data storage) and Paddle (for payments). Their terms and privacy policies also apply when you use those services. We may also use advertising/analytics providers such as Google Ads and Google Analytics (see our Privacy Policy for details).

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLCORE LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SOLCORE LABS BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR DATA USE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO SOLCORE LABS IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Solcore Labs harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or for any reason with notice. On termination your access to paid features ends; account deletion follows our account deletion policy (see Refund Policy regarding deletion effects on subscriptions).

15. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms at https://solcorelabs.com and indicate the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

If a particular governing law or jurisdiction is required by a third-party provider (e.g., Paddle or Google), we may include that information in applicable communications. Otherwise, disputes should first be raised by contacting [email protected] so we may attempt to resolve them informally.
